PDT Group completes sale of the PDT Profiles division to Dätwyler

On 2 January 2012 the PDT Group (PHOENIX Dichtungstechnik GmbH, Hamburg) successfully completed the sale of the Profiles Division, which already has been announced on 22 November 2011 to the Dätwyler Group. The antitrust authorities approved the transaction without imposing any restrictions. The sale covers the PDT Profiles Division’s customer base, 169 employees (incl. 8 apprentices) and manufacturing facilities in Waltershausen (Thuringia) as well as the sales and development staff in Hamburg.
The PDT Profiles Division covers the five market segments tunnelling, rail-track superstructure, windows and facades, civil engineering, industry constructions and other applications and is a leading international manufacturer of high-quality elastomeric seals and gaskets. The division generates annual revenue of around EUR 35 million (about CHF 43 million).
With this acquisition, Dätwyler is further reinforcing the niche position held by its Sealing Technologies Division in the global market for special seals and gaskets and is becoming one of the leading suppliers.
