€ 3,050 for 297 kg – PDT loses weight

Weight is also an indicator of health.

As one of the many activities regarding “PDT is moving” 95 colleagues decided to do something about this indicator. In January the first step on the scales determined the starting weight. It was the personal choice of everyone whether to loose weight by dieting and / or by sport activities.

Now, at the end of in November it was time for a reweigh. Considering only the PDT employees that lost weight, the total body weight was reduced by almost 297 kg. Thus, the action was an excellent start with a great result, because we all know that every kilo you loose makes your body stronger. This should encourage all people who also want to change their life.

Of course, all data were treated as strictly confidential, but some colleagues have agreed to tell something about their success:

I changed my diet at the beginning of the action and went jogging regularly.	On the one hand my weight loss was due to stress and on the hand I have changed my diet.	I'm far down on my exercise bike and I have changed my eating habits.	I rode with my bike and I ate more protein and less carbohydrates and fats.

The actual record however is held by Thierry Jacot from Switzerland. With the help of www.ebalance.de he lost 28 kg. As this activity was very popular the management of PDT has decided to continue to reward weight reduction in 2011.

We thank all staff who participated in this action and hope for another 300 kg in the next year. If we reach 400 kg we will sponsor a spa weekend for two persons. In addition we will continue with many activities.
